Major Project

Ok so the first post of a new project.

What I'm basically aiming for is a really high quality cinematic trailer, think Blur Studios and you are on the right lines, here and here are some examples of how I'd like the project to go, really detailed characters, realistic animation and great atmospherics/scene assembly. At the moment there are four people working on the project, Kyle working on the animation, Matt and I on art and Ben in charge of compositing and general after effects stuff.
The aim is that the trailer stays short but looks as good as it possibly can, 30 seconds of fantastic looking footage is more desirable than several minutes of something of lesser quality

So far the project is still in the preproduction, here are the initial storyboards:



These are subject to change but show the basic direction of the project, the narrative doesn't really aim to win any prizes but should definitely leave the viewer wanting to play the game.

Also some initial concepts for the henchmen and a test for the snow terrain, I really wanted to push some colour in the snow as it can sometimes look really washed out, so this is a SSS material with a displacement, hopefully it'll look awesome when the lightings done. It's looking a little waxy at the moment because the specular hasn't been touched at all.
